Helps to fix. Fixing things is just refusing to believe they are not broken, that they will not last. I'm not saying you shouldn't but when you have to fix something, accept the fact it is on the verge of being lost. For delicate things sophisticated tools like, positive thinking, communication, advice etc...are required, these tools can lead to the exact opposite of what they are intended for if used carelessly... and tools are intended to mend.
